In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary. Add the diced onions and cook for 2-3 more minutes until they become soft and translucent. Stir in the garlic powder, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper, and cook for another minute. Once the mixture is ready, remove it from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). While the oven is heating up, prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.
03 -
If you’re using store-bought pizza dough or crescent roll dough, unroll it onto a clean surface. If using pizza dough, roll it out with a rolling pin to a thickness of about 1/4 inch. Cut the dough into squares or circles, depending on your preferred shape.
04 -
Take a spoonful of the cooked ground beef mixture and place it in the center of each dough square or circle. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese on top. If desired, add diced pickles for an extra touch of flavor. Fold the dough over the filling to create a pocket. Use a fork to press the edges together and seal them tightly.
05 -
Place the assembled cheeseburger pockets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give them a golden, crispy finish when baked. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the pockets are golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
