Chinese Beef and Onion Stir-Fry (Print Version)

01 - 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
02 - 2 tbsp vegetable oil
03 - 1 large onion, sliced
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
06 - 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional)
07 - ¼ cup soy sauce
08 - 2 tbsp oyster sauce
09 - 1 tbsp cornstarch
10 - 1 tbsp sugar
11 - Salt and pepper to taste
12 - 3 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
13 - Cooked rice, for serving

# Instructions:

01 - In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and cornstarch. Add sliced beef and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
02 - Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add marinated beef in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove beef and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp of oil. Sauté onion, garlic, and ginger for about 2 minutes until fragrant and onions are translucent. Add bell pepper if desired.
04 - Return beef to the skillet and stir to combine with vegetables. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
05 - Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped green onions. Serve over cooked rice.
