Delicious Asian-Inspired Zucchini (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Vegetables

01 - 2 medium zucchinis
02 - 1 large onion
03 - 1 garlic clove, minced

→ Seasonings and Oils

04 - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (preferably canola or sesame)
05 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
06 - 1 tablespoon butter
07 - Salt and pepper to taste
08 - Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Wash the zucchinis thoroughly. Slice them into sticks about 2-3 inches long and ½ inch thick. Peel the onion, cut it in half, and slice it into thin, half-moon shapes.
02 - Preheat a large skillet or a flat griddle over medium-high heat. Add the vegetable oil to the hot pan, allowing it to heat until shimmering.
03 - Add the onions to the pan first, sautéing for about 2-3 minutes until they start to become translucent. Then add the zucchini sticks.
04 - Sprinkle the minced garlic over the vegetables, then add the soy sauce, stirring everything together. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for another 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still slightly crisp.
05 - Once the vegetables are almost done, add the butter to the pan. Stir to coat the zucchini and onions, allowing the butter to melt and mix with the soy sauce, creating a rich glaze.
06 - Season with salt and pepper to taste. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added texture and flavor.
07 - Transfer the vegetables to a serving dish and enjoy hot.

# Notes:

01 - Choose fresh, firm zucchinis for the best texture
02 - Cooking on medium-high heat helps achieve a slight char and maintains vegetable crispness
03 - Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture
