Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray.

In a large plastic baggie, crush vanilla wafers. Set aside one cup. Pour the remaining wafers into a large bowl. Pour in ¾ cup of butter (measure prior to melting) and mix until combined. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 5 minutes.

In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt, granulated sugar, and dry pudding mix.

Stir in eggs, vanilla, and remaining butter.

Fold in chocolate chips and remaining vanilla wafers.

Spread over prepared crust and bake for 15-20 minutes.
