Remove the pot from heat and stir in the crispy rice cereal until evenly coated. Fold in the crushed vanilla wafers for extra flavor and crunch.

Lightly grease a 9×13-inch pan and press the mixture evenly into the pan. (Tip: Use a greased spatula or wax paper to avoid sticking.) If using, melt the white chocolate chips and drizzle over the top of the treats.
