Easy weeknight family dinner (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 1 onion, chopped
03 - 1 cup long-grain white rice, uncooked
04 - 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
05 - 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
06 - 2 cups water

→ Seasonings

07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1 teaspoon paprika
09 - Salt and pepper to taste

→ Topping

10 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven nice and hot at 350°F. This casserole needs a good warm oven to bubble away properly!
02 - Grab a large skillet and cook that ground beef with the onions until everything's nicely browned. Don't forget to drain off the extra grease - nobody wants a greasy casserole!
03 - Throw in your uncooked rice, both cans of soup, water, and all those tasty seasonings. Give everything a good stir until it's all mixed up nicely.
04 - Pour the whole mixture into a 9×13 baking dish and cover it with foil. This needs to bake for about an hour - perfect time to help the kids with homework or catch up on your show!
05 - Take off that foil and sprinkle all that delicious cheddar on top. Pop it back in the oven for another 15 minutes until the cheese gets all melty and bubbly with those crispy edges everyone fights over.

# Notes:

01 - For an extra flavor kick, try using beef broth instead of plain water.
02 - Toss in some diced bell peppers or mushrooms if you want to sneak in more veggies.
03 - Feel free to switch up the cheese - Monterey Jack or a nice cheese blend works great too!
