Strawberry Peach Crisp (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Topping

01 - 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
02 - 1/2 cup brown sugar
03 - 2/3 cup flour
04 - 1/3 cup salted butter, melted
05 - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

→ Fruit

06 - 2 1/2 cups peaches, peeled and sliced (about 3 peaches)
07 - 1 cup sliced strawberries

→ Syrup

08 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
09 - 3 teaspoons cornstarch
10 - 1/3 cup water
11 - 1/8 teaspoon salt
12 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - Mix the oatmeal, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and melted butter until the mixture is crumbly. Spread half of this mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x9 pan.
02 - Top the crust with the diced peaches and strawberries.
03 - Cook brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, and water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat until thickened. This will only take a couple of minutes, so watch it closely and stir constantly.
04 - Stir in the vanilla and pour the syrup over the fruit.
05 - Sprinkle the rest of the topping mixture over the fruit.
06 - Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes.
07 - Turn the oven to broil and place the crisp on the top shelf. Broil for 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye on it to prevent burning.
